WRIGLEY FIELD PLAZA OFFICE BUILDING – Chicago, Illinois
Part of the multi phase renovation of Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL, the Plaza Office Building brings over 150,000-square-feet of new space to the Ballpark. This mixed use building expands the Chicago Cub’s clubhouse and training facilities, and brings the corporate offices of Cubs back to ballpark. This facility also adds new retail, dinning, and an open air entertainment venue to the Wrigleyville neighborhood. Cost: $143M. Completion: 2017

KINSHIP TRUST – Chicago, Illinois
TALASKE developed the acoustic design of the new office spaces for the Kinship Trust Company, a renovation of the 18,000-square-foot penthouse level of their Chicago office building. This project presented unique design needs including large, lofted open office areas, a large conference room, design of the MEP system to limit background noise levels, and noise control of the mechanical floor above. Braintree

BRAINTREE – Chicago, Illinois
Renovating a 58,000-square-foot showroom of Chicago’s historic Merchandise Mart for their Chicago office, all aspects of the Braintree offices focus on collaboration. The design of this space feature large open office bullpens, multiple huddle and teleconferencing spaces, a cafeteria featuring a full bar, and a multipurpose atrium that also functions as a Town Hall for large presentations. Cost: $18M. Completion: 2014.

SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION NATIONAL SUPPORT CENTER – Urbana, Maryland
The data network facility is the 24/7 resource for the Social Security Administration. The mammoth 280,00-square-foot facility offers a number of acoustic challenges. Emergency generators and condensing units must operate within noise limits at property lines. Plus typical office acoustic criteria based on GSA standards were applied to interior spaces. TALASKE offered complete acoustics design services including noise level predictions. Cost: $191M. Completion: 2014

SKADDEN, ARPS, SLATE, MEAGHER & FLOM LLP – Chicago, Illinois
TALASKE played a key role in this tenant build-out of 200,000 rental square feet on eight floors of a new high-rise building constructed by the John Buck Company at 155 N. Wacker Drive. Design of the AV systems included AV presentation, audio conferencing, video conferencing and training rooms. Additional systems were provided for the cafeteria, fitness center and reception areas. The project sought a LEED Silver designation. Cost: n/a. Completion: 2009.

GTCR GOLDER RAUNER LLC – Chicago, Illinois
GTCR, a leading private equity investment firm based in Chicago, relocated into 65,000-square-foot offices in the new high-rise at 300 North LaSalle. Audio and video design for this tenant improvement project included conference rooms with built-in audio teleconference and portable video teleconference equipment. Acoustic consulting services addressed differing acoustic isolation needs for executive offices, typical private offices, and open plan office areas. In 2012 the building received LEED Gold Certification. Cost: Withheld at owner’s request. Completion: 2009.

KIRKLAND & ELLIS LLP TENANT BUILDOUT – Chicago, Illinois
The international law firm of Kirkland & Ellis (K&E) is the anchor tenant of the 60-story high-rise designed by Pickard Chilton and developed by Hines at 300 North LaSalle. Kirkland & Ellis developed 24 floors, with total buildout of 650,000-square-feet, which serve as the firm’s new world headquarters. Located on the north bank of the Chicago River in the heart of the city. In 2010 the project achieved LEED Silver Certification, one of the largest LEED commercial interior projects in the United States. Cost: n/a. Completion: 2009.

BP BRIGHT LIGHTS – Chicago, Illinois
The BP Bright Lights project is the relocation of BP’s Chicago trading floor operations. Acoustics consulting was provided for the 60,000-square-foot trading floor, which houses 400 traders. Given the large triple-height volume of the space, the loudness of trading activities, and the noise/vibration generated by the substantial HVAC systems, the acoustic performance of the trading floor was a primary concern. Acoustics consulting also was provided for an additional 200,000 square feet of office and conference center spaces. BP Bright Lights is the largest LEED-CI project to achieve Platinum status in the Midwest. Costs: Withheld at owner’s request. Completion: 2009.

EXELON CHICAGO HEADQUARTERS – Chicago, Illinois
Exelon consolidated its downtown Chicago offices, including executive offices, boardrooms and conference rooms, into a single corporate headquarters of approximately 220,000 usable square feet within an existing building. The project achieved a LEED Platinum Commercial Interiors certification. TALASKE was charged with designing audio, video and acoustic solutions that would provide Exelon with technology that is intuitively user friendly, cost effective, energy efficient and low maintenance. MOTOROLA CONFERENCE AND TRAINING FACILITY – Libertyville, Illinois
